Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 is required.
• Red Cross Lifeguarding or equivalent certification is required.
• Must demonstrate readiness and ability to maintain certification.
• Must demonstrate lifeguard skills per YMCA and Red Cross standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of pool and surrounding areas and stay rescue-ready at all times.
• Respond to emergencies and follow YMCA procedures, completing incident reports as needed.
• Perform equipment checks and ensure required safety gear is available.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required and communicate with supervisor.
