Job summary

Consultants in Gastroenterology is seeking an experienced AP/Payroll Specialist for a part-time role with potential for full-time. Based in Columbia, SC, the position starts on-site with hybrid potential and reports to the Human Resources Manager.

You will process accounts payable, manage payroll cycles for up to 200 employees, handle 401k/HSA feeds, reconcile invoices, prepare journal entries, and support clinical and administrative teams in maintaining accurate financial records in compliance

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and finance skills, including experience with Accounting and Finance fundamentals.
• Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries and reconcile accounts.
• Experience managing Expense Reports and vendor invoice processing.
• Demonstrated analytical skills for identifying discrepancies, trends, and process improvements.
• Proficiency with accounting/payroll; Paycom preferred and QuickBooks required.
• Understanding of payroll processes for a staff of up to 200 employees, wage and hour basics, and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Processing accounts payable, managing payroll cycles, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Handling 401k funds/Employer-Employee file feeds, HSA/Employee contributions file feeds.
• Reviewing and coding invoices, reconciling statements, preparing journal entries.
• Maintaining organized financial records and supporting the administrative and clinical teams.
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
