Job summary

Merrimack Health is seeking a part-time AP/CP board-certified Surgical Pathologist to join our community hospital network in Massachusetts. The role focuses on surgical pathology and non-gyn cytology (no Pap smears), with a negotiable start date for fall/winter 2026-27.

The ideal candidate will have strong interest in general surgical pathology, be comfortable practicing in a community setting, and possess a license to obtain privileges at all three hospital sites.

Qualifications

• Board-certified pathologist with AP/CP training and license
• Experience in surgical pathology and non-gyn cytology preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Examine surgical specimens and biopsies to diagnose disease.
• Interpret cytology specimens, including FNA and non-Gyn cytology.
• Provide intraoperative consultations (frozen sections) as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical teams for diagnostic insights and patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and uphold CAP/CLIA standards.
