Job summary

Landsman Development Corp. is hiring Maintenance Technicians for both full-time and part-time positions across the Rochester area.

You will handle routine resident service requests, preventive and emergency maintenance, and participate in capital improvements and seasonal tasks. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in multifamily or construction site management, with strong communication, organizational, and mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum Experiential Requirements: 2+ years multifamily or construction site management.
• Special Skills/ Work Conditions Required: Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to communicate in English with residents, emergency providers and outside contractors.
• Must have a mechanical aptitude; skillful use of equipment and tools, and have physical and manual dexterity skills.
• Required use of a cell phone while on call.
• Must be able to manage a flexible schedule including overtime and be on-call as assigned.
• Must be able to lift, move and transport up to 50lbs without the assistance of hand truck, dolly, or other mechanical lifting devices. Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, access and work in confined spaces as well as at heights in excess of 20 feet and have the mobility required to use ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and/or repairs to building systems and apartments (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, appliances, painting/drywall, HVAC, fire and security systems, elevators as applicable).
• Snow removal experience; on-call for evening and weekend emergencies; reliable transportation required.
• Interact with residents, vendors, and office staff with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Maintain standard background checks and drug screening as required.
