Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach HLHS 102 (Essential Anatomy/Physiology) and other non-clinical courses on an as-needed basis. This role involves delivering classes, developing materials, and maintaining records in alignment with college policies.

Responsibilities include using technology to enhance instruction, engaging students effectively, upholding FERPA and safety standards, and working professionally with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Has a minimum of 2 years directly related work experience.
• Holds certification or licensure in a health care discipline providing care or service directly to patients.
• Holds a Workplace Specialist License granted by the Indiana Department of Education in Health Science or Dental Careers with medical Terminology coursework.

Responsibilities

• Delivers assigned classes in accordance with college policy and course objectives.
• Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways to promote learning.
• Interacts with students and co-workers professionally, complying with policies and guidelines.
• Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms and labs.
