Job summary

History Colorado in Monte Vista seeks an AmeriCorps member to support the Education Department, delivering high‑impact programs to K‑12 students and ensuring equitable access to culturally relevant history education.

You will facilitate Hands‑On History, lead field trips, and assist with community events, under the supervision of the Education Coordinator, with flexible hours and a 675‑hour service term.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, U.S. National, or Lawful Permanent Resident.
• Ability to pass criminal history checks.
• Strong interest in history, education, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Hands‑On History programming and other educational activities.
• Collaborate with staff and partners to expand program reach.
• Assist with marketing and promotion of Hands‑On History.
• Build community partnerships and gather feedback for the team.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to program improvements.
• Support History Colorado community engagement projects as needed.
