Job summary

Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists seeks a part-time Algebra 1 Teacher to instruct advanced 8th-grade students at Oceanside Adventist Elementary. You will align lessons with standards and foster mathematical reasoning while supporting the school’s Christ-centered mission.

Responsibilities include planning rigorous lessons, differentiating instruction, assessing progress, and maintaining records. Active SDA church membership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Algebra 1.
• Teaching credential or mathematics-related educational background preferred.
• Must be an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and able to provide current church membership information.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Algebra 1 instruction aligned with applicable standards.
• Provide appropriately rigorous instruction for advanced 8th-grade students.
• Differentiate instruction and provide support based on student needs.
• Assess student progress using Standards-Based Learning and maintain records.
• Communicate with families and administration regarding student progress.
