Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists seeks a Teacher Aide to support a K–8 school, assisting teachers with instruction, supervising students, and aiding campus operations. This role emphasizes patient, professional, and collaborative behavior in a dynamic school setting.

The position reports to the Teaching Principal, supports a positive classroom environment, and requires CPR/First Aid cert or willingness to obtain. This is a full-time on-site role in California.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s or undergraduate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a school, childcare, or youth-serving setting preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Aufgaben

• Assist the classroom teacher with instructional preparation, stations, and supplies
• Support students with curriculum, guided reading, and small-group tutoring
• Grade assignments, record results, and help with classroom organization
• Maintain orderly classroom environment, including light cleaning and tidying
• Assist with classroom displays and showcasing student work
• Perform clerical tasks such as sorting, filing, cutting, and copying
• Supervise students before/after school and during recess/lunch
• Provide substitute coverage for K–8 as needed
• Model and enforce school expectations with a calm, caring approach
• Support behavior and academic intervention plans
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Communicate clearly with staff using school channels
• Adhere to dress code and professional conduct standards
• Participate in school events to support a positive culture
