Job summary

SAIC, based in Fletcher, NC, seeks a Part-time Air Traffic Control Instructor-II to join the Controller Training Solutions team at AVL, supporting FAA training programs.

The role requires a minimum of five years FAA CPC experience and CPC certification with US citizenship for a Public Trust clearance; the instructor will deliver classroom and simulation training and may mentor students and assist in curriculum development.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• The CTS Instructor candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic or recent contract Instructor experience.
• Experience with ATC simulators and aviation training systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality classroom and simulation training to a diverse student group.
• Mentor students and potentially assist in curriculum design and development.
• Maintain FAA simulator certifications and ensure training meets facility needs.
