BeAIReadyCo is seeking dedicated after-school instructors to teach in-person at partner schools and community sites in your local area. You will guide hands-on AI projects, introduce concepts like safety and bias, and help students build portfolios while earning a certificate upon completion.

You'll work part-time after school hours, with schedule details discussed during the interview. A background check is required, and candidates should be comfortable using laptops, projectors, and classroom

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring children.
• Able to pass a background check.
• 18 years or older.
• Comfortable with classroom tech (laptops, projectors, tablets).
• Reliable transportation to class sites.

About BeAIReadyCo

BeAIReadyCo School teaches students ages 8 and up how to use AI safely, thoughtfully and creatively. We partner with schools, after-school programs, libraries and community centers. Our classes are hands-on and project-based.

What you'll do

• Teach after-school classes in person at partner schools and community sites in your assigned local area
• Open each project with a short lesson on an AI concept: what AI is, how it works, safety and fact-checking
• Guide students step by step as they build real projects, such as stories, designs, presentations and business pitches
• Give feedback, help students improve their work, and run project presentations
• Help each student build a portfolio and earn a certificate of completion
• Model responsible AI: protecting personal info, checking answers, understanding bias, and respecting original work

Requirements

• Able to use and understand AI tools (like ChatGPT) and explain them simply
• Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, camp, coaching, after-school or similar)
• Able to pass a background check
• 18 years or older
• Comfortable with classroom tech like laptops, projectors and tablets
• Reliable transportation to class sites
• Patient, encouraging, organized and punctual
