Job summary

Soda Data Inc. is seeking a part-time, remote Compliance Lead to drive automation and strengthen our SOC 2/SOC 3 program. You will automate controls, adapt our posture to AI-enabled product and internal workflows, and streamline responses for RFPs and security questionnaires.

You will work with Drata/Vanta/Secureframe, AWS, Okta and GitHub to keep evidence robust and audit-ready, while keeping engineers focused on product speed. English fluency and EU-timezone availability are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in security compliance / GRC, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.
• Hands-on with a SOC 2 Type II cycle, including working with an external auditor.
• Hands-on with a compliance automation platform (Drata, Vanta, Secureframe).
• Experience designing and implementing automations, including with AI.
• Familiar with AWS, Okta, GitHub and endpoint management.
• Able to answer enterprise security questionnaires and participate in security reviews.
• Clear written and spoken English; able to write policies that are easy to follow.
• Available roughly 2–3 days per week with CET overlap; EU time zone.
• Able to invoice as a freelancer/contractor.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 cycle with the external auditor, including scoping and remediation.
• Keep the control set audit-ready year-round; monitor lapses and chasing issues.
• Run people compliance in onboarding/offboarding and annual security training and incident reporting.
• Act as Sales' compliance partner during enterprise security reviews to unblock deals.
