Job summary

Mercor is seeking data analysts and spreadsheet specialists with 2-3 years of experience, or currently enrolled postgrad students in a quantitative field, to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through data analysis workflows on your Mac to benchmark and improve AI models.

Qualifications

• Must own a MacBook or Mac with Apple M-series or Intel, macOS 15+
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Numbers, and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, charts, data cleaning, financial or operational models)
• Experience with SQL, Python/R, or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or 2-3 years of relevant experience + BA from a prestigious institution
• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Completing and narrating real data analysis and spreadsheet tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for advanced AI models
• Responsibilities are clearly structured without the high pressure typical of internships or full-time consulting roles
