Qualifications

• Instruct high school students in agriculture using engaging methods.
• Ohio teaching license or substitute license or eligible for licensure (Workforce Development CT).
• Minimum five years’ experience in multiple areas of the Agricultural industry.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to build relationships with area employers and advisory committee members.
• Proficient with technology and strong oral/written communication.
• Meet health requirements and have clear criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan and implement lessons aligned to course standards.
• Design and administer assessments to certify students with credentials.
• Enforce proper classroom rules and management.
• Collaborate with staff, students, parents and industry partners.
• Prepare students for academic and Career Tech competency tests.
• Provide leadership in classroom instruction and curriculum development.
• Maintain a productive classroom environment within district resources.
• Use diverse instructional media and technology.
• Maintain records as required by law and policy.
• Communicate with students and guardians about performance.
• Attend district/state professional development events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
