Job summary

Grace Place for Children and Families in Naples, FL, is seeking an Elementary Teacher for the After-School Program. This part-time role (12-14 hrs/week, 2:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m.) involves planning, instruction, and assessment of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for K-5 students.

Together with the Program Manager, you will plan lessons, support reading and math, supervise volunteers, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in a non-educational field but with at least 2 years of instructional experience.
• Or a degree in education with or without a valid Florida teaching certificate.
• For K-5th program, must obtain Foundation Florida DCF certificate within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver after-school lessons and enrichment activities.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual needs of students.
• Welcome, train, and manage volunteers in the classroom.
• Model and coach volunteers in instructional strategies and classroom management.
• Maintain high visibility and collaborate with staff, volunteers, and parents.
