Job summary

Fitkidz Inc. in New York is seeking a Part-Time Afterschool Instructor to support enrichment activities, crafts, snacks, and group play from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Candidates should be energetic, reliable, and able to create a safe, engaging environment for children aged 2–12. Ideal applicants have 1–2 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow lesson plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college students encouraged.
• 1-2 years of coaching experience with children ages 2-12.
• Fingerprints from OCFS, DOH or DOE required; assistance with obtaining.

Responsibilities

• Take attendance/head counts of children in program.
• Assist participants with crafts and recreational activities.
• Prepare/hand out snacks for afterschool children.
• Plan and implement fun, educational activities for children.
• Monitor participants’ behavior and report to staff.
• Maintain daily communication with the Program Director.
• Perform daily cleanup duties.
• Facilitate group participation in scheduled activities.
