The Learning Experience in Gainesville, VA is seeking an experienced Part-Time Afternoon Teacher to support our daycare and preschool classrooms during the late day shift. You will help maintain engaging activities, supervise transitions, and ensure a positive end to the day for children aged toddler/preschool.

Hours are 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Compensatory pay ranges from $17 to $19 per hour based on experience, with opportunities for training, advancement, and employee

Competenze

• Previous professional daycare, childcare, preschool, or early childhood experience required.
• Comfortable working with young children in a group classroom setting.
• Must meet Virginia licensing requirements for the position.

The Learning Experience - Gainesville is seeking an experienced Part-Time Afternoon Teacher to support our classrooms during the second half of the school day. You'll help maintain engaging classrooms, support daily routines, and give children a positive end to their day.

This is a great fit for an experienced childcare professional looking for dependable weekday afternoon hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Support classrooms and teachers throughout the afternoon
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, stories, and hands-on activities
• Assist with afternoon snacks, transitions, and classroom routines
• Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management
• Help maintain required classroom ratios
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Assist with classroom organization and end-of-day procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
• Follow Virginia licensing and center requirements

Qualifications
