Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta is seeking a Youth Development Professional (YDP) to join our Programs team in Augusta, GA. This part-time, non-exempt role focuses on delivering engaging youth programs during afternoon hours and supporting a safe, welcoming environment.

You will organize activities, register members, mentor youth, and collaborate with staff to ensure program quality and positive outcomes for kids across age groups.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of combined experience or training preferred.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior.

Responsibilities

• Establish weekly/monthly programs calendar aligned with goals.
• Develop program schedules for the site weekly and monthly.
• Encourage participation in varied programs and provide feedback.
• Create an environment that promotes program participation.
• Register new members and conduct club orientation.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Implement and administer programs and activities for drop-in members.
• Monitor services and safety of members and facility.
• Evaluate programs and adjust to members' needs.
• May participate in special programs or events.
• Assist as part of a team, including driving the Club van.
