Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester is seeking a part-time Program Staff member to help create engaging after-school experiences for children ages 5-13 at Plumley Village in Worcester, MA. This per diem role offers flexible coverage afternoons, with shifts typically 2:00 PM–6:00 PM on weekdays.

You’ll lead games, crafts, STEM activities, homework help, and enrichment, build positive relationships with kids and families, and support a safe, inclusive environment while following program policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (per EEC regulations).
• Positive attitude, dependability, and enthusiasm for working with children.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass CORI and background checks.
• Per diem role with no minimum hours; shifts vary by needs.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist games, sports, arts & crafts, STEM, homework help, and enrichment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Encourage participation, teamwork, and personal growth.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
• Support educational and recreational programming.
• Follow EEC regulations and organizational policies.
• Assist with light cleaning and general program support.
