Job summary

The Mentoring Alliance is seeking a Part Time Youth Mentor to lead after-school enrichment activities for elementary students. This ministry-minded role focuses on fostering youth development, embodying a gospel-centered approach, and serving the community with excellence.

The position is non-exempt and averages 17–20 hours per week, Monday through Friday after school. Ideal candidates are 17+, share the faith, and are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment while helping students

Qualifications

• Must agree with Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• Must be at least 17 years old; HS diploma or GED preferred and some post-secondary training preferred
• Passion for working with elementary school-aged children
• Experience with elementary school-aged children preferred
• Available Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Background/Sex offender check required
• Valid driver’s license or ID
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Dependable transportation
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities in an after-school setting
• Foster youth development and positive behavior
• Be a role model consistent with the ministry’s gospel mission
• Support program goals and safety policies
