Job summary

Right At School in Texas is seeking a Part-time Program Manager to lead a team of Educators at Katy District area schools, guiding daily operations, coaching staff, and ensuring safety and compliance with state and company standards. You will build strong relationships with families and school partners, coordinate enrichment activities, and address day-to-day challenges.

The position offers evenings, Monday–Friday, 2:30 pm–6:30 pm, with an $18–$23/hour pay rate and benefits; growth opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• One year of childcare in a licensed setting.
• One year of supervisor/management experience.
• 70 clock hours of training in child/youth development or CDA.
• Live within the listed school district area.
• Fluent in English; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Educators with coaching and guidance.
• Keep licensing standards, safety and attendance protocols up to date.
• Oversee daily check-in/check-out procedures and attendance records.
• Communicate with families, school partners, and Area Manager.
• Plan and oversee daily enrichment and activity stations delivered by your team.
• Address and resolve day-to-day issues among staff, students, families.
• Monitor safety and report incidents with proper documentation.

As a Program Manager, you’ll lead a team and oversee daily operations — coaching staff, ensuring safety and compliance, building relationships with families and school partners, and facilitating activities with kids as needed — while gaining valuable leadership and operations experience in the education field.

In short, your day‑to‑day leadership is what turns a good program into a great one, for your team and every child you serve.

Pay Rate: $18–$23 per hour (based on education and experience)

Program Hours: Monday through Friday)- 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm (may vary slightly) NO WEEKENDS!

Schedule: Part‑time; hours may include before school, after school, recess care, and/or full‑day care during breaks, depending on site needs.

Location: Located inside the Katy District area schools

Texas State Requirements (please read below to confirm you meet this requirement prior to applying)

• High School Diploma/GED
• 21 years of age
• One year of previous experience in childcare in a group licensed childcare setting or school‑type setting (will require verification). Must be verifiable
• Must be 21 years of age with a High School diploma/GED.
• One year of supervisor/management experience
• 70 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership, management, or CDA (transcripts and/or training certificates will be required for verification)
• Live within the listed school district area
• Fluent in English; bilingual is a plus

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support a team of Educators, providing coaching, feedback, and day‑to‑day guidance
• Keep site documentation, licensing standards, and safety and attendance protocols up to date and compliant with state and company standards
• Oversee daily check‑in and check‑out procedures, ensuring accurate “name to face” attendance records
• Communicate regularly with families, school partners, and your Area Manager, responding promptly to emails, calls, and inquiries during program hours
• Plan and oversee daily enrichment curriculum, movement, team games, and independent activity stations delivered by your team
• Address and resolve day‑to‑day issues or conflicts among staff, students, or families
• Monitor the program environment for safety, addressing hazards and ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns promptly and maintain accurate documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Experience managing competing priorities while delivering quality service to staff, families, and school partners
• High school diploma or GED completed
• Experience working with children, including those with unique or special needs
• Coursework or training in child development or a related field (preferred)
• Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with both adults and children
• Comfortable modeling professional standards around students, parents, staff, and community members
• Familiarity with Google Workspace or willingness to learn
• At least 18 years of age
