Job summary

Rauner YMCA is seeking a Part-Time Site Team Lead for the Before & After School Program in Chicago. You will oversee daily activities, support staff, and ensure quality and safety.

The role emphasizes positive youth development, curriculum implementation, staff leadership, and coordinating snacks, supplies, and program logistics. Pay ranges from $19.25 to $19.75 per hour with a Mon-Fri schedule and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age and/or 5 years older than the oldest child in the program.
• Previous childcare or education experience in a youth program.
• Associate’s degree in child development or early childhood education or equivalent.
• Ability to model YMCA values and build positive relationships with youth and staff.
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to engage diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Implements program curriculum with school-aged staff while ensuring DCFS and YMCA standards.
• Provides onsite guidance to staff and leads program staff meetings.
• Plans and coordinates events, activities, and parent engagement.
• Maintains program files and assists in snack, supply, and material logistics.
• Fills in for other staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
