Job summary

Great Hearts Lead Office, Co-Curricular Programs seeks an After-School Program Assistant to supervise up to 20 students and support the delivery of a provided classical curriculum. The role operates after school, Monday through Friday, under a Lead Teacher or qualified staff member, with approximately 15–20 hours per week in a part-time, seasonal capacity.

Applicants should be at least 17 with a high school diploma or current enrollment; first aid/CPR certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age and have a high school diploma or be currently enrolled in high school/equivalent.
• First aid/CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 20 students in a classroom setting under the supervision of a qualified staff member per AZDHS.
• Facilitate homework, recess, and other activities.
• Present lessons from provided classical curriculum.
• Model and instill Great Hearts 9 Core Virtues: responsibility, perseverance, integrity, honesty, courage, citizenship, humility, friendship, wisdom.
• Follow operating procedures to ensure high quality programs.
