Job summary

Arc Experience is seeking a Program Leader for an after-school program at Animo South LA Charter High School in Los Angeles, CA. The role is part-time, non-exempt, and involves guiding students through social-emotional learning, homework help, and enrichment activities.

You will greet students, lead diverse activities, and create engaging clubs that spark curiosity and confidence, with a schedule Monday–Friday from 2pm to 6pm. Prior experience in youth programs is valued.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Strong communication with kids and parents.
• 48+ college credits completed or pass an academic proficiency exam.
• TB test and negative result; Live Scan background check.
• English-Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Covid-19 vaccination documentation if required by the school.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome kids to the program at the end of their school day.
• Organize and lead activities including homework help and enrichment projects.
• Join in indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Create clubs for students (career readiness, cooking, anime, dance, etc.).
• Maintain a secure environment by following safety protocols and monitoring behavior.
• Oversee safety and well-being during after-school activities.
• Encourage participation while adapting activities to diverse needs.
