Job summary

YMCA of Central New York is seeking a LEAPS Site Coordinator at the Van Duyn School location. Under the Senior Program Director, you will plan and lead after-school enrichment for approximately children, ensuring safety and alignment with YMCA policies and NYS guidelines.

You will supervise staff, coordinate curricula, liaise with families, and oversee program records, payroll, and supplies. The role requires strong organizational skills and commitment to inclusive programming.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in child development, elementary education, PE or related field.
• Two years direct experience with children under 13, including supervisory role.
• Credentials or certifications for school-age child care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead a comprehensive after-school enrichment program for LEAPS.
• Oversee curriculum and lesson plans for academic and arts/enrichment activities.
• Provide leadership to staff and ensure adequate coverage for all activities.
• Maintain records and communicate with families, caregivers, and partners.
• Process payroll for all program staff and purchase supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with NYS OCFS and YMCA policies.
