Job summary

The Haverhill YMCA is seeking energetic team members for its After School Program serving Georgetown’s Penn Brook Elementary School. This part-time role offers 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in a mission-driven environment.

You’ll lead safe, engaging activities and help children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively while building strong relationships with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must meet fingerprinting and background screening requirements.
• Group Leader licensing requirements as per licensing agency.
• Experience with children is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children.
• Lead age-appropriate activities promoting development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and YMCA team.
• Model positive behavior while encouraging teamwork and inclusion.
• Support children as they start and end their school day with encouragement.
