Job summary

The Arts & Sciences Center seeks a Financial Literacy Club Facilitator to design and lead an after-school program in Puna Makai for intermediate and high school students. The role emphasizes practical, engaging money concepts through hands-on activities, games, and guest speakers.

This temporary, part-time position runs January through May 2027 with a 2:00–5:00pm schedule, Monday through Thursday, in-person at ASC.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, youth development, or related fields.
• Ability to design engaging, hands-on activities for middle/high school students.
• Willingness to incorporate local context and different learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate after-school club sessions in a youth-centered environment.
• Lead participants in budgeting, saving, credit, banking, and financial planning concepts.
• Adapt activities to interests and learning needs of participants.
• Create hands-on activities, discussions, and real-world money scenarios.
• Track participation data and report outcomes to the grant.
• Communicate with ASC staff about scheduling and needs.
• Participate in program planning meetings.
