Job summary

Right At School is seeking educators for after-school programs in California. The role focuses on delivering a dynamic curriculum, guiding children, and supporting homework while maintaining safety and positive discipline.

Flexible hours align with school schedules, and candidates should value community impact. Ideal candidates bring customer service experience, teamwork, and at least one year with children, plus a high school diploma and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Understanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
• Completion of six (6) units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificate.
• Ability to lift 25lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and healthy living.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance and incidents.
• Deliver the dynamic daily curriculum to engage children and expand school-day learning.
• Model positive guidance and classroom management to ensure safety and support homework and activities.
• Maintain communication with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding progress and accountability.
