Easter Seals is seeking an After School Care Provider to create a safe, engaging environment for school-aged children after school. You will supervise students, assist with homework, and lead developmentally appropriate activities to support social, emotional, and physical growth.

  • CDA, TCC, or related coursework in child development preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed setting preferred.
  • Background check and fingerprinting through DECAL/BFTS required.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Provide active supervision of children in all areas, following BFTS standards.
  • Assist children with homework, reading, or enrichment activities as needed.
  • Serve snacks in accordance with CACFP and program policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment compliant with BFTS safety regulations.

Job description

Position Summary:The After School Care Provider is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for school-aged children during after-school hours. This role includes supervising students, assisting with homework, facilitating recreational activities, and maintaining compliance with all Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide active supervision of children in all areas, following BFTS active supervision standards at all times.Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure authorized pick-up procedures are followed.Serve snacks in accordance with CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) and program policies.Assist children with homework, reading, or enrichment activities as needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment that complies with BFTS safety and sanitation regulations.Report any injuries, behavioral issues, or incidents to the supervisor and complete required documentation.Communicate positively and professionally with parents and staff.Attend staff meetings and training sessions required by BFTS licensing and the program.Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the staff handbook and BFTS guidelines.Compensation:Hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
