Job summary

Easter Seals North Georgia in Roswell, GA is seeking an After School Care Provider to create a safe, engaging environment for school-aged children from 2 PM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include supervising children, helping with homework, snack service, and adhering to DECAL BFTS regulations; CPR/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain; CDA or related coursework preferred; 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and meet BFTS staff qualification requirements for school-age care.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA, TCC, or related coursework in child development preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare or after-school program preferred.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting through DECAL/BFTS.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision of children in all areas, following BFTS active supervision standards at all times.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure authorized pick-up procedures are followed.
• Serve snacks in accordance with CACFP and program policies.
• Assist children with homework, reading, or enrichment activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment that complies with BFTS safety and sanitation regulations.
• Report any injuries, behavioral issues, or incidents to the supervisor and complete required documentation.
• Communicate positively and professionally with parents and staff.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions required by BFTS licensing and the program.
• Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the staff handbook and BFTS guidelines.
