City of Deer Park's After School Program is seeking an energetic staff member to lead 5-12 year olds in a safe, active recreation environment. You will oversee group activities, support instructors, and help enforce program rules during afternoon sessions.

The role requires patience, basic first aid knowledge, and the ability to work with children in a busy setting. Training on safety protocols will be provided; prior experience with youth programs is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience:
• Course work in Elementary Education, first aid and CPR certificates desireable. Work experience with 5-12 year olds in a recreational setting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Will lead 5-12 year olds in recreation setting, manage behavior problems, assist with activities and enforce policies and procedures.
• Assistance with Gameroom and Special Events may be necessary during peak times.
