Job summary

Scholars Unlimited is seeking an Academic Specialist to lead after-school programs for K-5 students in Northeast Denver, Southwest Denver, Central Denver, Sheridan, and Westminster. You will deliver SEL, STEM, and literacy instruction, supporting students at or near 1:1 or small-group levels.

The role is part-time, seasonal, and requires attendance at trainings and background checks. The schedule runs after school, with hours typically starting around 1:00 pm and ending by 6:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have at least 3 months (460 hours) of part-time or equivalent experience with school-aged children.
• Must complete all paid training requirements and pass background checks prior to start date.
• Must meet schedule hours and attend mandatory trainings the week of September 7, 2026.
• Bilingual in Spanish is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for students.
• Deliver SEL, STEM and/or literacy instruction to small groups or individuals.
• Support students during recreation/enrichment activities as needed.
• Follow program policies and school dismissal times.
