Job summary

Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation is seeking a part-time Content Specialist for the United Community Centers Elementary After School program in New York. The role designs and leads enrichment activities to support literacy-based conflict resolution and STEM curricula, aligning with Common Core standards.

Collaborate with the Program Director, train staff on curricula, and contribute to staff development and community-building efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development.
Teaching experience with elementary and/or middle school children; teaching credentials preferred.
Availability for after-school hours; school year commitment.
Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish/Bengali/Creole French).

Responsibilities

Design and lead academic assistance and enrichment activities after school.
Support literacy-based conflict resolution curriculum across groups.
Train staff in STEM curricula and lesson planning.
Guide staff in effective lesson planning and on-site training.
Ensure alignment with Common Core standards and school goals.
Attend trainings and meetings; participate in staff development and community-building.
Participate in program evaluation and meet program goals.
