Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY seeks an Advanced Practice Provider II for the Department of Internal Medicine - Assessment & Treatment Center. This part-time, regular role is 0.5 FTE with 20 weekly hours and First Shift.

You will evaluate, treat, and manage acute and chronic illness, order and interpret diagnostics, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications. You will mentor AP staff, nursing, residents, fellows, and other clinical trainees.

Qualifications

• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• Current New York NP certification by a recognized body.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• License to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA.
• Bachelor’s in PA Studies or completion of a NYSED-recognized PA program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat, and manage acute and chronic illness.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage patient care.
• Educate and mentor AP providers, nursing staff, residents, fellows, and students.

Education

NYS Nurse Practitioner certification

Master’s degree in Nursing

Nurse Practitioner license (RN) in NY

ANCC (or equivalent) NP certification

PA licensure in NY

NCCPA PA certification

Bachelor’s degree in PA Studies or PA Certificate Program (NYSED)
