Syracuse University on campus seeks part‑time faculty to teach undergraduate architecture design studios during Fall (6 credit hours) and/or Spring (6 credit hours) semesters. Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture is required, as well as an advanced degree in Architecture or a closely related design field.
• School is particularly interested in candidates with teaching experience in an accredited professional architecture degree program.
• Candidates with strong intellectual and creative direction are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates must possess professional design experience and demonstrate a record of recognized creative work, which may include built/unbuilt work, installations or publications.

Responsibilities

• Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
• Ordering appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
• Preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
• Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
• Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
• Meeting all designated class periods.
• Submitting completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
• Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
• Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
