Job summary

Seminole State College invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in Architecture/Interior Design. The role involves teaching assigned courses, developing syllabi, delivering instruction, and evaluating student work.

Faculty are encouraged to engage in professional development and contribute to curriculum enhancement using CANVAS. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design, with additional credentials such as NCIDQ preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (M.A., M.S., M.F.A., or M. Arch) in Architecture, Interior Architecture or Interior Design
• Master’s degree or higher with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Architecture, Built Environment, Commercial Design, Design History and Theory, Historic Preservation, Human Environmental Design, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Sustainable Design Studies, Themed Entertainment, or related disciplines
• Master’s degree or higher and Bachelor’s in Interior Design or related field; NCIDQ certification or licensed Interior Designer; or minimum of eight years of professional practice
• PhD in Interior Design, M. Arch, M. Interior Design or related with major in Interior Design; licensed Interior Designer in US state or territory
• Teaching experience and professional licensure/registration desired
• Studio courses taught by faculty with professional degree in Interior Design as defined by CIDA

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver course instruction, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments
• Grade student work and provide timely feedback
• Maintain engagement with students, colleagues, and supervisors
• Participate in professional development and curriculum improvement
• Stay current with CANVAS and other instructional tools
• Support student success and program outcomes
