Atlanta Technical College seeks a part-time Adjunct Instructor – Speech to teach General Education Communications and Public Speaking on its Main campus, just south of downtown Atlanta, GA. The role is up to twenty-nine hours per week and involves creating engaging lessons, assessing progress, and supporting student success.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Communications (regionally accredited), with additional graduate credits in Communications. Transcripts must be attached.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Communications from a regionally accredited college or university, or a Master’s in a related field with 18 graduate credit hours in Communication.
• Transcripts must be attached to the application submission for consideration.
• Doctorate in Communication is preferred and post-secondary teaching experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Follows approved course syllabus and delivers lectures and labs.
• Advises and counsels students and maintains advisement records.
• Prepares lesson plans and classroom material for General Education Communications and Public Speaking courses.
• Evaluates student progress and maintains required documentation and reports.
• May assist with student recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
