Job summary

Qualifications

• Earned master’s or higher in early childhood education or related field with specified coursework.
• Professional certification or equivalent field experience required.
• Awareness of FERPA and diversity promotion in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Delivers assigned classes per college policy and course objectives.
• Makes optimal use of technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engages with students to promote learning and positive experiences with Ivy Tech.
• Monitors and documents student performance; provides interventions and referrals.
• Interacts professionally with students and co-workers; complies with policies.
• Implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms and labs.
