Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College - South Bend Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis to provide instruction and assessment within established syllabi. Responsibilities include delivering classes, developing syllabi and assessments, and maintaining student records.

Faculty must meet English discipline standards, bring a strong knowledge of instructional technology, and collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required or higher in English or related field with English coursework
• Ability to deliver instruction and assess student learning in line with syllabi

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes and create learning environments to help students reach their goals.
• Develop and update syllabus, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials; maintain accurate records.
• Engage with students to promote active learning and use technology to enhance instruction.
• Monitor student performance and provide interventions, including advising and tutoring referrals.
• Comply with FERPA, college policies, and diversity expectations.
