Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Part‑Time, in‑person courses at the Phoenix campus. The role involves facilitating lectures, guiding discussions, and assessing student progress within a supportive, mission‑driven environment.

A master’s degree and licensure in counseling or related fields are preferred, with ongoing opportunities to mentor students and contribute to program goals.

Qualifications

• Professional or Teaching experience required.
• Preferred: Counseling Education OR Counseling OR Social Work OR Marriage and Family Therapy OR Behavioral Health OR Mental Health OR Clinical Psychology OR Counseling Psychology AND Associate or Independent Level License in Counseling OR Social Work OR Psychology AND a minimum of 1 year of field related experience.
• Minimum: Master’s degree in the above areas AND Associate or Independent level license in the above areas AND a minimum of 2 years of field related experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
