Subject matter includes a brief introduction to the nature and function of the visual arts, the visual elements and principles of design, an introduction to various art media, and a brief exploration of art history. The Art Department offers courses in Art Appreciation, Art History, History of Photography, Graphic Design, drawing, oil painting, water media, sculpture, ceramics, figure drawing, photography, and introduction to studio art.**Rate of pay: $765 per credit hour****Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**Experience teaching at a community college and understanding the community college mission is a plus. Demonstrated teaching ability is the top priority. Instructional experience in a classroom as well as experience using an online learning management system like Canvas or similar is highly desirable.
