Job summary

Community College Preparatory Academy seeks experienced Adjunct EMT Instructors to prepare adult learners for EMT certification and careers in EMS. Roles are part-time, on-site in Washington, DC, with day and evening teaching options.

Applicants should have significant EMS experience (EMT/AEMT/paramedic), current DC EMS instructor cert, and CPR/BLS. Candidates with prior teaching or mentorship are preferred and encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Significant, recent EMS experience as EMT/AEMT/paramedic.
• Current DC EMS instructor certification or ability to obtain before teaching.
• DC credentials required for instructional assignment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EMT instruction combining knowledge with hands-on skills.
• Teach patient assessment, airway management, CPR/AED usage and trauma topics.
• Ensure safety, professionalism, and alignment with curriculum.
• Provide feedback and support to students to build competency.
• Prepare students for DC/NREMT certification requirements.
