Job summary

Abington Manor in Clarks Summit, PA is seeking a part-time Activities Aide to plan and lead engaging recreation activities for residents, including weekends and holidays. You will work with the Activity Director to create programs tailored to seniors’ interests and abilities.

Ideal candidates are creative, outgoing, and compassionate, with a passion for enriching residents' lives. A High School diploma or GED is required, and you will complete a background check and drug screen after offer.

Qualifications

• Must be available every other weekend
• Able to relate professionally to residents and families and to work cooperatively with others
• Observant, driven, creative, and caring
• A post offer, pre-employment background check and drug screen will be required

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in developing and implementing comprehensive therapeutic recreation services and programs meeting each resident's needs and interests
• Complete required documentation and assist with planning and leading special events; maintain supplies and equipment
• Stage entertaining, engaging activities suited to residents' age and physical or emotional condition
