Job summary

American Senior Communities in Pennsylvania is seeking an Activity Director to plan, develop, and implement engaging recreational programs that enhance residents' quality of life. The ideal candidate brings leadership, creativity, and a passion for seniors, with experience in healthcare recreation.

You will lead a team of Activity Assistants, coordinate with departments and regulatory agencies, and ensure compassionate, patient-centered activities while balancing schedules and prep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years' healthcare recreation experience.
• Completion of an Activities Director training or recreational therapy degree.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training or CNA competency evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement engaging recreational programs for residents.
• Lead, mentor and motivate a team of Activity Assistants.
• Collaborate with departments and professionals, including regulatory agencies.
• Balance daily schedules, resident needs and activity prep.
