Apex is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Accounting Intern for a three-month assignment. This position is an excellent opportunity for a current accounting or finance student to gain hands on experience supporting day-to-day accounting operations and month end close activities.

The Accounting Intern will report to a Senior Accountant and work closely with the accounting team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable working with financial information.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of US-GAAP and external audit requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Support bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist the team with various month-end close duties
