Episcopal SeniorLife Communities is seeking an Accounting Intern to provide hands-on accounting support. Starting pay is $20.00/hour or academic credit, with a schedule of 15–20 hours per week.

The role involves accounts payable, cash receipts, reconciliations, and assisting with data distribution and audits. Ideal candidates are organized, proactive, and committed to confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to interact courteously with staff, residents, family and the public.

Responsibilities

• Record deposit activity for month-end posting and reconciliation.
• Prepare and record journal entries for miscellaneous cash receipts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for bank accounts, receivables, and other liability accounts.
• Research and resolve reconciling items.
• Compile information and prepare spreadsheets for audits and internal reports.
• Assist Controller with updating policies and procedures.
• Maintain filing and perform data entry tasks as needed.
• Act as backup for Accounts Payable and Payroll Administrator positions.
• Maintain fixed assets, purchase orders and company credit card system.
