Job summary

Real Radiology, LLC in Omaha, NE is seeking an Accounting Intern to support the finance team with journal entries, accounts payable/receivable processing, and month-end close activities. This part-time, in-office role provides hands-on experience in financial reporting and data analysis for students or recent graduates pursuing accounting-related degrees.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and entry of journal entries into the accounting system.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Help maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions.
• Maintain financial records, including electronic filing and document management.
• Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation for audits.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of schedules and reports for internal and external audits.
• Monitor and analyze company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
• Assist with expense reports and cost analyses.
• Participate in special accounting projects assigned by the accounting team, including process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct research and analysis to support the accounting team in decision-making.
• Engage in learning opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Attend meetings and training sessions to gain insights into the overall financial operations of the company
