Job summary

Pipestone is seeking an accounting/finance intern to gain hands-on training while supporting daily finance tasks in our Minnesota office.

You will assist with A/P, A/R, invoicing, journal entries, bank reconciliations, general ledger activity, and preparing financial reports. The role is part-time and requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with strong Excel and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team player with cross-department collaboration.
• Office setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations and financial preparation.
• Basic understanding of the three major financial statements and how they fit together.
• Solid understanding of the general ledger structure and ability to reconcile various accounts.
• Ability to execute accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Desire to learn and advance career by taking on additional responsibilities.
