Job summary

Independence Family Animal Care is seeking an accounting/finance intern to support daily accounting tasks as a soon-to-be graduate gains hands-on experience. You will assist with A/P, A/R, invoicing and financial reporting in a collaborative office setting.

The role focuses on journal entries, bank reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy across financial statements, with supervision and mentoring throughout the internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office and strong knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to critically think and solve problems with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain effective relationships with various departments and customers.

Job description

To provide hands-on training and experience to a soon to be graduate in the accounting/finance field. This intern would be responsible for the daily functions of multiple accounts including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, journal entries, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations and financial reports.
