Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Ontario, CA to serve clients and safeguard facilities. The role focuses on access control, visitor management, and delivering exceptional customer service in a retail/distribution environment.

The position offers a flexible, part-time schedule with shifts including evenings and weekends. A valid driver’s license is required for driving duties, and a background check plus drug screen are mandatory; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Control access to the distribution center by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, support gate operations, and communicate access concerns or irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report observed conditions.
