Job summary

Allied Universal in Ontario, CA is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to support a reliable, flexible schedule at a dedicated site. The role emphasizes access control, incident response, and customer service for associates, visitors, and delivery personnel, with base hours and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to associates, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and assist with managing vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and access‑control activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
